Question 2 of 4 · Journey time

How long are complete trips taking?

A transit journey includes more than time on a vehicle. Walking, waiting, transfers and variation all affect whether a trip feels dependable.

Available now: transparent journey estimates

The current journey stories combine OSM pedestrian routes with explicit waiting and in-vehicle assumptions. They are estimates, not observed trip histories.

A single total can hide the burden of a long first walk or transfer. Our journey approach keeps each component separate and will add a reliability range only after enough comparable observations exist.

Current estimates are stored repeatedly for consistent representative journeys. Comparisons remain hidden until enough matching weekday and time-period observations exist.
